Apologies for not making it out to your opening, I was on one of my increasingly "quick" trips and out of town.
I have been doing a alot of thinking, harvesting, editing and reading. Lots of reading. Lots of editing. Lots of harvesting. My RSS reader frequently has over Art and Photography 300 entries and I am a bit numb at all of the circular references from blog to blog but lurking is participating I guess ....
Thanks all. And, Joey, yes, reading is the big deal & I'm so glad you do. The impulse for my words above was that I had hoped this was going to be more of a conversation -- lots of voices, sometimes argument, lots of asides, digressions, etc. I'm afraid I set too much of a serious critical tone, like, here's the argument, here's the story. Need to find a way to draw people into the discussion. I was raised in 'old journalism' tradition of one-way communication. In that tradition my question that leads this post is a kind of whining. So I am trying...Again, thanks for responding

OK, fair enough. But some people who take pikchuz like to talk about them. I know I'm not the only one.

I'm still here! Just catching up (and quiet)
Don't know why I've never commented. Do I get half credit for faithfully reading every post?
