I have walked this beach, boy & man, for nearly six decades. Every other place I have traveled or lived has either disappeared or changed in significant ways. This place has stayed the same.

Andria, You're right, it has to do with no perspective clues between foregrd people & backgrd people. There's a strangeness, a little like those hieratic Egyptian paintings of the pharoahs maybe.
BTW I like your pictures very much.
